Northwestern Sportsmen's Club Our purpose is to promote the various skills involved in hunting and fishing and to further the appreciation of the great outdoors.

The Northwestern Sportsman's Club Inc. is a non-profit club whose history dates back to about 1950. Prior to that date it was known as the
Springfield Rod and Gun Club. The club was incorporated about 1966. We have a pond that is open to members only, and have it stocked once a year with trout and some prize-winning bass. The pond is spring-fed and the fish usually survive year round. We use thi

s facility to sponsor an annual kids fishing derby, totally free for kids fifteen and under, with prizes and refreshments available. We also have ham shoots in the spring and turkey shoots in the fall. If you are unfamiliar with these activities, the best way to find out is to join us in these advertised shoots and experience the fun for yourself. These shoots are open to all, members as well as non-members. We also have other special shooting events. Our monthly business meetings are held the first Sunday of each month with a social meeting to follow. We are located on the west side of Rt. 6N, approximately one mile south of I-90 (Exit 3).

For $2 a shot at blind target you will take 3 shots approx 40 yds away. Targets are then judged for closest to the center of the blind X or tie breaker O on target. Winner will receive a prize.
