Pittsburgh Steel City Select 14U Gold Champions!
After three games, our team found themselves in fourth place, matched up against the number one seed. Five times over the past year we faced the Steel City Selects and came up short — but not this time. This time was different. This time, they believed. In a true underdog moment, they rose together and pulled off the semifinal upset.
What followed was a reminder of why we love this game. Through highs and lows, setbacks and growth, this team never stopped working. Every shift, every role mattered — and every single player contributed to this championship win. They went from the bottom of the standings to the very top, capturing the Steel City Girls Tournament championship against a strong Columbus Blue Jackets team.
There aren’t enough words to express how proud we are. This wasn’t just a win — it was the result of resilience, trust, and a team that refused to be counted out.
