James Gossling - Convicted For Attempting to Send Indecent Material to a Minor Online, Prior Conviction for S*x With a 14-Year-Old - Sentenced to Zero Jail Time

James Gossling is a Level 2 (medium-risk) Predicate S*x Offender residing in West Seneca, Erie County. He was convicted in April 2026 of Attempted Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree, for attempting to send pornographic material to a female minor he knew, using a computer. He was sentenced to only five years of probation and received zero jail time. His conviction is less than four months old.

This is not James Gossling's first offense requiring registration. He has a prior conviction from 2011 for Attempted R**e in the Second Degree, for repeatedly engaging in s*xual in*******se and deviate s*xual in*******se with a 14-year-old girl he knew as an acquaintance. He was sentenced to only six months in local jail and 10 years of probation for that offense.

James Gossling is listed as residing at 330 Center Road, West Seneca, New York 14224.

James Gossling is known to operate a 2009 blue Chevrolet Impala, New York plate LUX9068.

James Gossling is currently supervised by Erie County Probation through July 14th, 2031. His special conditions of supervision require him to comply with the S*x Offender Registration Act, abide by case-specific s*x offender conditions, comply with probation restrictions, comply with court orders, and comply with an order of protection.

The public should be aware that James Gossling uses different last name spellings as aliases. His DCJS file lists the names James Gosling and James Gossung — both different spellings of his last name — which he may use to avoid identification in registry searches.
