South Buffalo Rugby Club Tackle-A-Thon is back for the 4th year in a row!!!! 🏉
On September 19th, during our Club Day, all 3 of our teams will be participating in this fundraiser. A portion of funds will go to the Daniel Piotrowicz “DP” fund which awards scholarships to new players in our club.
How it works:
• Select a player and pledge an amount for each tackle, try, or kick that the player makes during the game. Suggested pledge amounts are $1-5 per tackle or $10-20 per try or kick.
• Don’t have a player to support, but still want to participate? Enter “surprise me” for the player name and we will assign you a player!
• During the match we will count the tackles, tries, and kicks made by each player. You do NOT need to attend the game, but we love having fan support and it will be a fun day of rugby so come down, check it out, and cheer on your tackler of choice!
• After the game, we will inform you how many tackles/tries/kicks were made by your player. Then you send the amount you pledged via Zeffy, cash, or check.
• In addition to sponsoring a player, we will be having a raffle for a piece of SBRFC Gear! You get 1 entry for every dollar you pledge. You can buy additional entries for $1/each.
• EXAMPLE: If you pledge $5 per tackle for your player, and they make 10 tackles, you contribute $50. You are also given 50 entries into the a swag bag of South Buffalo Rugby gear.
We cannot wait to have everyone out, get back on the pitch and enjoy our new field. Also see some bone crunching hits for a good cause.
