2023 Lake Erie Walleye Trail Huron Pro-Am in the books. Pretty satisfied with the result especially with the way the day started. Prefish gave us 32lbs bags and on tourney day we threw a hail merry and fish a new area. That area didn’t pan out for us but sure did for Josh Lewis Jeff Hunter and Dylan Lewis. Congrats on a 3rd place finish and a Happy Gilmore check. We finished with just over 24lbs after grinding out some upgrades, putting us in 18th out of 89 boats. Unfortunately when pulling our fish out of the livewell a 5 ounce baby sheephead was in the livewell. Our amateur Nicholas F. Peters brought peanut butter sandwiches and his “A” game. Team Ship of Fools Sport fishing has been lucky enough to work with some great guys and fisherman the last month or so. Thank you Josh and Jeff once again for the hospitality. Thank you Jason Fischer for once again running such an impressive event. My NY tournaments could learn a thing or two about how to run a tournament for the fisherman. Kyle Kokanovich once again putting up with me and being willing to spend the time on the water. No LEWT events for us for a bit as our NY events begin in less than 2 weeks. Excited to try and defend our team of the year from last year.
