Just a shout-out for Maker Bullets for the handloading members of NPSC. I loaded some Maker 200 Grain .308 Expanding Subsonic Blackout Bullets (Product ID 308200SBLK) and test-fired a couple of them into gallon jugs filled with water to see how they expanded. As you can see by the example shown in the pictures, the results were outstanding.
I loaded these bullets for a 10.5" AR Pistol with a 1:8 twist equipped with a Banish 30 Suppressor from Silencer Central. I used 9.2 Grains of H110 and CCI 450 Primers. COL was 2.100" and the velocity was estimated at 1,050 FPS, give or take. Shots were made at 20 yards. This bullet passed completely through four jugs of water and was recovered after it entered the fifth jug where it came to rest. It retained 100% of its weight - weighing in at 200 Grains. The first four jugs exploded upon impact by this bullet.
