A refurbish project I recently completed. This Antelope was harvested and mounted in 1961. I blew out 65 yrs of dust, wiped it down with a cleaning solution several times, and airbrushed some color back into it.

JELLY HEAD or WATER HEAD is what us taxidermist call this, it's a direct result of hanging your from the back legs and putting a bag of ice in the chest cavity, the water leaches through meat and membrane and builds up under the the skin, not only does this make a giant mess and my job harder it also excelerates bacteria growth and can cause hair slippage. If you feel the need to put ice in your deer at the very least double bag the bag of ice with a heavy duty trash bag to contain the water. Also do Not hang you deer by the back legs and rinse out with a hose it will do the xact same thing.
