Sorry, I totally spaced uploading pictures. I have a good number for the 5k and the start area for the half marathon. Randy Erickson took some for the Marathon which i will find them and get them on here as well.

Well that was a fun weekend! Little hotter than anyone wanted though. Next year is supposed to be cooler lol.

Congratulations to all the participants and overall winners Saturday and Sunday! Was definitely not easy in this heat.

I also want to thank all the volunteers, without them this race would not be possible.

The Rapid City Half Marathon is on Saturday July 26, 2025 to Sunday July 27, 2025. It includes the following events: RC Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, 5K, and Half Marathon.

I guess a lot of people never got an email for the half start. The half start is over off of Lombardy Drive. Just type lombardy drive on your phone ...its not very big. 1876 Lombardy drive will also get you there.

The busses will be leaving from the big parking lots near The skate park. This is across the street from the Club for boys. The address to the skate park is 209 New York St, Rapid City, SD 57701. Unfortunately parking lots dont specifically have addresses lol

If you didn't get your packet. They will be at the busses, or the start of your races.

We are now a week out from the race date! I sent a quick email to all participants yesterday so please keep an eye out for that email! I will send out another email with more details later this week.

If you aren't registered yet and plan to please do so because there's only a few days left to register!

July 26th and 27th! Save the date, with the 5k being on Saturday! The Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k will all be $5. Last year there were too many people who signed up when it was free and then backed out so to prevent a waste on unused bibs they will be $5. Registration will close a few days before the race.

This year we will have a Half Marathon relay with teams made up of 3 people if you don't want to run the full 13.1 miles.

Also, the Marathon will be closed for now. Working on a route for it and then it will go to the city. If you have any questions about the Marathon please let me know.

Sorry for the delay with this, I've been trying to catch up with work...and sleep lol.

Congratulations to everyone who raced Saturday and Sunday in the Rapid City Marathon, Half Marathon & 5k! It was awesome to meet those of you who I did, and I wish I could have met more of you. it's always a fun part of hosting these.

I want to thank all of the volunteers who came and helped because without the volunteers, none of this would ever be possible. I also want to give a special thanks the TThe Runner's Shopfor a lot of help with the race on race day and allowing us to host packet pickup there. They've always been selfless when it comes to runners and runs, and you can see that because they were the original founders of the Black Hills Runners Club back around 1979.

It was also fun to see a marathon take place even though it wasn't the biggest turnout. I got a lot of the details on the marathon later than I had expected.

there were also flight issues for many, leading to over 30 having canceled flights to rapid city Saturday, leaving people no way to get here in time.

all in all, it was a great turnout for barely any advertising and mostly just word of mouth.

As for the free, I'm hoping to continue making it free in the future, so hopefully, you're all able to make it back here. You won't find free anywhere else.

If you have texted or emailed me and I never got back to you, I received many and am still receiving them. I'm not ignoring you. I just prioritized them on race day from importance because I didn't have time to answer them all. If, after a while, I still don't respond.. send it again.

if you have any pictures of the race, please email them to me, and I'll try to put them on the page as an album, this way, others can enjoy them.

if you have any suggestions please send them to me. I'm always happy to hear suggestions, but please take into consideration that my time is limited and I do everything from the permits to awards to shirts etc...all that lol.

Once again, great job to you all, and I hope to see you all next year!
