Admittedly it wasn’t the best weekend of basketball for the War Hogs as far as winning. They knew it might be difficult but that didn’t stop these boys from stepping up and going anyway. They didn’t back down from the fight, even when they were losing. They exhibited class in the most outstanding way, so much that they were complimented on it by other players and coaches. Their sportsmanship was stellar.
Because church was missed Sunday for a game, the team took some time to have a devotion. I believe this shows where the War Hogs’ hearts are truly at. As for winning, you don’t always learn something from that; but you can ALWAYS learn something from losing, and that’s what this journey is about. Learning. Growing. Getting stronger. Supporting one another. Never backing down.
This weekend bonds were strengthened, family was made, and the memories will last forever.
