On April 6th, our daughter suffered a pretty traumatic injury to her right elbow during volleyball. Since then, it’s been a long and frustrating journey with very few answers. She has a displaced fracture of the radial head, a UCL tear, a complete capsule rupture, along with other partial tears and swelling.
For over a month now, she hasn’t been able to fully bend or straighten her arm, and she can’t rotate her hand.
Today we’re at the hospital for an MRI arthrogram, hoping it finally shows what’s causing the blockage and reveals any additional damage that may have been missed early on because of the swelling. Once the results come back, the surgeon will decide what the next steps are.
We hate seeing her go through this, but she’s handling it like an absolute champ, and we couldn’t be more proud of her strength and attitude through it all.
As parents, it’s hard watching your child hurt when there’s nothing you can do to fix it for them. We’d truly appreciate all the prayers, positive thoughts, and support for her healing journey.
