Wrapped up our season this week. Our loss to Central on Monday in team districts made it our last outing as a team. Then held our end of season banquet. Lots to look forward to with the eager young players we have and the new leadership of Coach Letterman! But we’ll miss our seniors. Best of luck to Brett, Reilly, Mason, Mikey, and Logan!

Look for summer plans posted soon. Off-season - where the REAL work takes place!

Played in the conference tournament Tuesday. Took losses to Branson and Marshfield, but our Zizzers played hard. Today we’re headed to Gillenwater Tennis Complex for Individual Districts. Let’s go Z!

Senior night! Celebrated our 5 seniors: Brett, Reilly, Mason, Mikey, and Logan. Wishing these young men the best of luck after graduation. We will miss them!

We, of course, continued the tradition of seeing how many rubber duckies we could win from the machine at Hibby’s. Only 15 this year… 😂

Was a fun day at the Reeds Spring JV Tournament today. Several successes on the day.

Travis and Adrian went 1-2 on the day in the #2 doubles flight.

Carter and Van went 0-2 in a TOUGH #1 doubles flight.

Kai went 2-2 taking 3rd place in the #1 singles flight.

Logan went 3-1 taking home a 2ND PLACE MEDAL in the #2 flight.

Roman went 2-1 also taking home a 2ND PLACE MEDAL in the #3 singles flight.

To celebrate a successful day, we stopped for some Braum’s on the way home.

Held our SERVE-A-THON on Friday. Thank you SO MUCH to the families and friends of our players who contributed. Don’t have a total yet, because not all of the pledges/donations are in. But it was definitely a success!

Last 2 pictures are our boys getting some grub at Pizza Inn. We all ate WAY TOO MUCH.

Tough start to our season. Took losses to Rolla, Waynesville, and Camdenton over the last couple of days. But our guy Brady Anselm (sophomore) snagged his first varsity singles win today over Waynesville. And SEVERAL wins on the JV level over this week from senior Logan Ray, sophomores Van Cochran and Travis Mahurin, and freshman Roman Waddell. We are growing. We are improving!

Traveling to Salem tomorrow. Let’s go Zizzers!

Our first outing didn’t go as planned. We took an 0-9 varsity loss to Poplar Bluff. JV tied though, going 3-3. We’ve got some players out - hoping to be at full strength either Wed or Thurs.

We host Rolla at home today (Tues, 3/24). Match starts at 4:00PM. Go Zizzers!

Super duper cold on Monday, so we had another indoor practice. One of our favorite workouts - plank hold med ball passing. Every time the med balls collide, 3 pushups. This one will wear you out quick!

Held a “challenge match day” on Thursday of last week. The rank order is starting to settle in nicely. These boys are working hard!

As with just about every spring season, we have to do an indoor practice in the first week. Tennis isn’t ideal in a gym, but we still got some good running, jump ropes, and control/touch tennis in. Proud of the work these boys have put in just in the first 3 days.
