As we wrap up our summer activities, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate a summer full of camps and practices. We spent the day making memories together at The Track Family Fun Parks in Branson, racing go-karts, competing in the arcade, getting completely soaked on the bumper boats, and even watching three of our guys take on the SkyCoaster!

After an action-packed day, we headed back to West Plains for our end-of-summer campout on the tennis courts. We enjoyed some pizza, played tennis, laughed a lot, and spent time together as a team. It was incredibly hot, but that didn’t stop us from having an unforgettable day.

A huge thank you to The Track Family Fun Parks for generously providing the tickets and helping make this experience possible. I’d also like to thank all of our parents for trusting me with your boys for the day and overnight. Your support means more than you know!

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to coach this group of young men, and I’m excited to see all of our hard work carry over into the season and continue laying the foundation for the future of West Plains Tennis. Let’s go, Zizzers! 🎾

🎾 Boys Tennis Team Day – Monday, July 27

We’re excited for a fun day of team bonding on Monday, July 27!

10:00 AM – Branson Trip
We will leave at 10:00 AM and head to The Track Family Fun Parks in Branson for a day of go-karts and fun. Players should bring their own lunch or money to purchase food at one of the food locations at The Track. All activities at The Track will be provided by Coach Letterman. We plan to return to West Plains at approximately 5:30 PM.

7:00 PM – Tennis Court Camp-In
After we return, players are free to go home before meeting back at the tennis courts at 7:00 PM for our Tennis Court Camp-In! Think of it as our version of a sports lock-in, except we’ll be camping out on the courts.

Dinner & Camp-In Details

- Pizza will be provided for dinner.
- Players will need to bring their own tent or arrange to share a tent with another teammate.
- Players are welcome to bring anything they’d like for the evening (games, snacks, chairs, etc.).
- Please make sure all personal belongings and trash are cleaned up and removed from the courts by 9:00 AM Tuesday morning.

This day is our way of celebrating all of the hard work, dedication, and progress our team has made throughout the summer. It’s a chance to relax, have fun together, and continue building the relationships that make our program special. I can’t wait to spend the day and evening with everyone. Go Zizzers! 🎾

🎾 Summer Schedule Announcement 🎾

With the conclusion of our camp today I wanted to go over the rest of summer!

The dates below are extremely important for our program as we continue to grow throughout the summer. These opportunities will allow us to build on the foundation we started at camp and make major improvements before the season begins.

Consistent attendance, hard work, and a commitment to getting better each day will make a huge difference. I’m excited to see the growth we can make as a team over the next few months. Let’s keep the momentum going and get to work! 🎾

🎾 Boys Tennis Camp Starts Next Week! 🎾

We’re excited to get back on the courts next week for our Boys Tennis Camp! This camp is a great opportunity for players to improve their skills, build confidence, and develop the fundamentals that will help them succeed throughout the season.

Whether you’re returning to the team or picking up a racket for the first time, camp is one of the best ways to prepare for the year ahead. We’ll focus on the basics, learn what it takes to be a successful tennis player, and have plenty of opportunities to compete and improve.

Wrapped up our season this week. Our loss to Central on Monday in team districts made it our last outing as a team. Then held our end of season banquet. Lots to look forward to with the eager young players we have and the new leadership of Coach Letterman! But we’ll miss our seniors. Best of luck to Brett, Reilly, Mason, Mikey, and Logan!
