🤨 if you want my opinion……
1. Club is meant for PLAYING the game! Of course you can grow and learn from PLAYING but imagine the growth you’d get if you were TRAINING where the focus was skills. Club volleyball focus is WINNING and “How many team can we make?”, not player development. If they’re trying to convince you otherwise, they may just want you to fill a spot on the team.
2. Self recruitment is the biggest advocate for college players. Dont get caught thinking “the colleges are going to find me” you’re going to have to go find them if you care who sees you. Most clubs are not hands-on in the recruitment process like you may think. They will supply opportunities, but it’s up to you to make sure you have an ex*****on plan. It is YOUR dream isn’t it?
3. You’re either learning how to play from the court or learning how to be a cheerleader from the bench. Training where you get real reps is the best way to learn.
My name is Brooklynn😊, I care about growing athletes to their fullest potential with or without the club experience. I believe training is essential and that volleyball is a journey beginning at level 1 and doesn’t end when you leave college. You take that confidence and skillset into life and find like-minded ex-athletes in the HUGE volleyball community that is here🌎
