This space offers an intimate and creative setting for students, young and old alike, to explore dance in a comfortable setting. Studio showings by the company members will be presented throughout the year to welcome people into our home and to share what we are capable of offering to the dance community. Our goal is to open our doors and our hearts to everyone who is seeking artistic enlightenment or just a ballet class! Come help us grow.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Living Room Series featuring choreographer Jerry Opdenaker and company dancers of Ballet Florida.

Guests experienced a behind the scenes look into the creation of AFTERMATH. From the rehearsal process and musical inspiration to meaningful conversations with the dancers themselves.

We loved sharing this special work in progress presentation, connecting through conversation, and welcoming our community into the creative process.

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body conditioning program designed to enhance dance technique by training muscle memory, core stability, and proper alignment using exercise balls and bands. Created by Marie Walton Mahon, this class helps dancers develop precise muscle engagement to improve turn out, stability, and posture, while also focusing on injury prevention. Our trusted and certified instructor Erica Borden, who is also a company dancer of Ballet Florida, will guide you through a class that will support your dance journey at any level.

Designed for beginners with no prior experience, this summer ballet series will provide an understanding of the basics of ballet technique. Dancers will learn terminology, musicality and develop the skill to execute a ballet class in an encouraging and constructive setting. While you are welcome to drop in on any week, please note each week builds on the last to ensure dancers feel confident navigating ballet class at the end of the series.

This course is intended for adult dancers 18+ who have never stepped foot into ballet or are looking for a technique refresh. We will start at the very beginning and build from there!

Ballet Florida’s Artistic Development Program for Home Schooled Students is now accepting audition registrations.

🗓 Saturday, May 16th
• 12:00–1:30 PM (Ages 10–13)
• 1:30–3:00 PM (Ages 14–18)

This is a selective, audition based program designed for dedicated young dancers seeking a focused daytime training environment. Students receive high level technical and artistic instruction rooted in classical ballet, while also developing versatility across styles and strengthening discipline, consistency, and performance quality.

This program is ideal for dancers balancing serious training with flexible or homeschool academics, this program provides the structure, rigor, and artistic growth needed to take the next step.
