My name is Jessie Bouldin Wallace, and I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, an undergraduate Music Business major student at Belmont University, and a fitness lifestyle blogger. During my freshmen year in college, I walked into the school gym and I did not know what to do. I was intimidated and walked out; instead, I signed up for a half-marathon in order to give myself a goal to work toward. I
always liked being active, and I was a 3-4 sport athlete in high school. I was never the best athlete on the team, but I loved working my body hard and sweating. Running was my favorite exercise, and I would always got caught smiling in the middle of sprints. Two years ago, a friend asked me to go to the gym and I finally gave it another try. Once I picked up weights, I fell in love with fitness and how it made me feel. I continued going to the gym and wanted to learn as much as possible via the internet and other people around me. Each day I grew stronger and more confident in myself than ever before, and that’s when I knew I had to share my passion with others. I wanted others to understand that they are capable of feeling strong, confident, and healthy both physically and mentally. I created this blog to help and encourage others on their fitness and health journey, whether they are just beginning or already in the process of transformation. I believe, the journey is more than looking a certain way but about discovering our intrinsic motivation and finding self-appreciation for the body we are each given.
