One of the major obstacles in amateur sports practice is the tendency for practices to become overly predictable.
Before I go any further, heres a quote that always resonates with me:
"True skill is not about having a single solution to a single problem, but rather about having multiple solutions to a variety of challenges."
If you want your practice to translate effectively to the game, it is logical that the majority of your practice should resemble the game itself, right?
In my opinion, it's crucial to maintain fundamentals in your practice routine, but, for instance, if you are a baseball team and your hitters only have live at-bats during games, I believe you are overlooking valuable learning opportunities.
The list can go on about any sport..
What's great about this concept is that your team actually gets better at the main thing, the game- and believe it or not it, it will drive both fun and engagement.
It's also easily applied to any sport!
Below are a few sports that I have an interest in to collaborate with and exchange ideas.
