🟣⚫️ GROUNDWORK KICKOFF WEEK — SCHEDULE UPDATE

Registration is open, and we’re ready to rock.

Because Eisenhower has Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, there will be NO PRACTICE Tuesday, September 8.

For kickoff week only, we’re going three nights straight:

📅 Wednesday, September 9
⏰ 6:00–9:00 PM

⏰ 6:00–9:00 PM

🔥 Friday, September 11 — FRIDAY NIGHT KICKOFF RUMBLE
⏰ 6:00–9:00 PM

Three straight nights. Nine hours.

No easing into the year. We’re setting the standard from Day 1.

All three sessions are included with the 2026–27 Groundwork All-Access Membership, including Friday Night Rumble at no additional cost.

Not an All-Access member? Drop-ins are welcome for $30 per session. Every non-member must complete the drop-in registration before entering the room.

Beginning Monday, September 14, our regular schedule resumes:

GROUNDWORK WRESTLING CLUB REGISTRATION IS OPEN 🟣⚫️

Our 2026–27 All-Access Membership begins Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

This is not a room where wrestlers simply show up, learn a few moves, and go home.

We build complete wrestlers.

That means developing technique, strength, conditioning, discipline, confidence, match awareness, and the ability to perform when a match gets difficult.

Coach Brown and Coach Justin Staudenmayer coach one connected Groundwork system built around three pillars:

TRAINING SCHEDULE

📅 Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
⏰ 6:00 PM–9:00 PM

• 6:00 PM–7:00 PM: Functional strength, mobility, conditioning, and athletic development
• 7:00 PM–9:00 PM: Technique, drilling, positional wrestling, live wrestling, and conditioning

ONE OF OUR OWN. OUR FIRST FARGO ALL-AMERICAN. 🇺🇸

Alyis Brown finishes 5th in the country at 120 lbs in 16U Greco-Roman.

He battled all the way through the backside, taking out the No. 1, No. 4, and No. 8 seeds to earn his spot on the Fargo podium.

14 years old. Rising 8th grader.

The first Fargo placer in Groundwork history.

This one means something.

Proud of this kid. He earned every bit of it.

Wrestling dads, this one's for you.

Jordan Burroughs nailed it recently. It's not about feeding our kids excuses after a tough loss. The bigger kid. The bad call. The dirty opponent. We've all heard them. We've all said them.

But the dads who get it right do something different.

They give their kid space to feel the loss before they fill it with words.
They offer a hug before a critique.
They let the coach coach.
They honor the kid across the mat instead of tearing the moment apart.
They play the long game.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

To every dad in the wrestling world, the ones in the bleachers, the ones in the corner, the ones driving the long road home in silence after a loss, thank you. You're building men and women, not just wrestlers.

🔥 SUMMER DAYS START TOMORROW 🔥

The wait is over.

Tomorrow is Day 1 of Groundwork Wrestling Club Summer Days, and we’re locked in and ready to go.

For the first time this summer, Coach Brown and Coach Justin Staudenmayer will be leading the room together—bringing two different coaching perspectives, two elite wrestling minds, and one shared goal:

Make every wrestler better.

This isn’t daycare.

This isn’t random drilling.

This is intentional wrestling development built around the skills that win matches.

Every session includes:

✔️ High-level technical instruction
✔️ Position-specific wrestling
✔️ Hand fighting & scoring systems
✔️ Live wrestling
✔️ Situational training
✔️ Conditioning
✔️ Individual coaching and feedback

The biggest improvements of the year happen during the summer.

While others take time off, serious wrestlers build the skills, confidence, conditioning, and mat awareness that separate them when the season starts.

Hey everyone,
This is Coach Evans wanted to let everyone know what the Summer schedule is going to look like.
RETURNING WRESTLERS and Incoming Freshman, You need to get to these practices if you really want a shot at breaking into the High School lineup.
From June 15th to August 22nd we will be training
Mon, Tue, and Thur from 9am- Noon with Groundworks. Coach Konte has already started our strength and conditioning program. You should all be involved. Below is the link to register for Groundworks, there is no charge for Norristown Wrestlers, but you all need to register. They're is also a QR code so you can get join the conditioning group.
