For our youngest campers, ages 3.5 to Pre-K, a half day at Lower Camp is the perfect introduction to summer camp life. With a shorter schedule, campers can build confidence, make new friends, and explore new activities while still keeping their familiar routines at home.

From arts & crafts to sports, music, water play, and themed adventures, every day is packed with fun designed just for little campers. Our caring staff helps create a warm, supportive environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and independently.. all while having an amazing summer. 💙

At Fessenden Lower Camp, campers enjoy a traditional camp experience built specifically for younger children, including a half day option for ages 3.5 through Pre-K.

At Fessenden Summer Camps, Coding Camp is where creativity, technology, and fun come together 💻✨

In partnership with iCode Wellesley, campers explore exciting STEM topics through hands-on experiences like robotics, game design, and even AI. From building with LEGO and EV3 systems to designing in Minecraft, every day is filled with opportunities to create, experiment, and problem solve.

And the best part? Campers balance their time between coding and classic summer fun, including outdoor play and free swim.

Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program at Fessenden Summer Camps is where campers take the next step from camper to leader! 💪🌟

CITs gain real leadership experience by:
✨ Shadowing counselors and specialists
👧 Helping mentor younger campers
🤝 Building teamwork through special CIT events and trips
🎯 Learning skills they’ll use at camp, school, and beyond

This two-year program for rising 9th & 10th graders helps teens grow into confident, compassionate leaders while still having all the fun of camp! And for second-year CITs… there’s even the chance to become a Junior Counselor later in the summer. 🙌

Mary Ann is a seasoned teacher and longtime Fessenden Summer staff member who brings a wonderful mix of experience, enthusiasm, and heart to everything she does. She truly understands what young campers need to feel safe, supported, and excited to come to camp each day.

With her calm leadership style, playful spirit, and deep commitment to children, Mary Ann is going to make Lower Camp an engaging, joyful, and nurturing place this summer. We’re so lucky to have her leading the way! 💛🏕️

🌟 TEEN TRIPPERS AT FESSENDEN SUMMER CAMPS 🌟

Looking for a summer program your teen will actually be excited about?
Meet Teen Trippers — a one-of-a-kind day camp experience for students entering Grade 8 that’s all about adventure, independence, and unforgettable memories.

🚍 Three days a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday), campers head off campus for exciting trips like:

Outdoor adventure parks, rafting & paddleboarding

Theme parks and beach days

Team challenges like Boda Borg

Horseback riding and more!

🏕️ On non-trip days, campers enjoy time on campus connecting with friends, swimming, participating in group games, and celebrating fun weekly Theme Days.
