Serves up as the Opening Day of the 2026 Spring Youth Volleyball League took place yesterday at the West Monroe Sports & Events Center! Over 400+ athletes hit the court for their first week of games & the fans brought the energy.

A huge shoutout to Louisiana Tech Volleyball for attending to sign autographs and take pictures. You’re a huge role model for these youth athletes! Comment below your pictures with them!!🔴🔵🐶

📣 Louisiana Tech Volleyball will be in the gym for Opening Night of the Rec Volleyball League!

Players will be set up in the front lobby for pictures, signing volleyballs, and handing out their Summer Camp flyers. Be sure to stop by their table and meet the team.🏐

One last go-around for our teams in Shreveport for the 2025-2026 Club Season. It has been an incredible season with so much growth seen across all teams, and our players are starting to see the fruits of their hard work.

Good Morning Coaches/Team Admins/Parents,

We wanted to provide an update on the court rental situation at the West Monroe Sports & Events Center regarding your team’s practices. 𝗔𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.

Repair crews are actively working on the courts and expect the work to be completed in the next 3-4 weeks. Because of the ongoing repairs, the complex and the City are not opening the facility for public court rentals at this time. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁.

You may see events taking place at the facility during this period. These are previously scheduled events that are operating under existing contracts, and the complex is managing around those while repairs continue. However, the facility is not allowing new public practice rentals during this time due to insurance and liability considerations while the courts are being repaired. We are hopeful that after the first week of games there will be more flexibility for teams to find practice opportunities as courts reopen.

Alternate Practice Sites that we have been made aware:
- Forsythe Park Levee Outdoor Courts (2-4 courts) - FREE
- Seeker Spring Gym (no net but indoors) - $20/hr - 318-249-4495 call office to book
- East Ouachita Recreation District - Sterlington, Osterland, & Swartz... must call to book (318)345-0040
- Cedar Crest Baptist Church - outdoor court - please call office first
- Pentecostal of the Twin Cities - outdoor court - please call office first
𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀.

If you need insurance/liability forms to practice at an alternate site for your team, please let us know so that we can provide that for you. We can also help cover any rental fee/donation required for these sites as well.

We know this is not ideal, and we sincerely apologize. We appreciate everyone's patience during this time.

We’re excited to launch a brand new volleyball program for the 26-27 school year at Sterlington High School, and this page will be the place to follow the journey from the very beginning. Here you’ll find team updates, schedules, scores, photos, and everything happening as we start building this program.

🙌 All 11 teams played under one roof this weekend. It was so much fun to get to watch all our teams compete at our home facility, and our AVA family is so supportive cheering on other teams in their matches!

Let’s be honest.

In youth sports…

Parents are right.
Players are right.
The coach is wrong.

Win?
“Girls played amazing.”

Lose?
“Coaching was terrible.”

Too hard.
Too soft.
Doesn’t play my kid enough.
Plays her too much.
Shows favoritism.
Doesn’t care about confidence.
Cares too much about winning.

And when a kid struggles?

“Coach quit on her.”

Meanwhile…

Coach is juggling 12 personalities.
12 sets of emotions.
12 expectations.
12 households.

One lineup.
One whistle.
One decision at a time.

We lose sleep.
We replay rotations.
We question ourselves more than you ever will.

But here’s the part nobody wants to admit:

Coaches don’t quit on kids.
Kids quit on hard.

And we still show up tomorrow.
