On our playgrounds, everyone plays, everyone belongs, everyone contributes to the game. Our coaches encourage kids to bring out the best in themselves and each other, and kids learn the value of fair play, compassion and respect. The coaches become part of the school community, working to provide organized play and physical activity through the four components of Playworks programming: Recess, Cla

ss Game Time, Junior Coach Leadership Program, and Training. These elements teach kids conflict resolution, leadership and respect, which proves to reduce bullying on the playground and in turn, increases class participation.

The first Healthy County Challenge Community Field Day was a hit!

Huge shoutout to Playworks Wisconsin for getting everyone moving and having a great time — y'all brought the energy! And a big thank you to the Milwaukee Parks Foundation for your continued partnership in making days like this happen.

DJ GidMoney kept the good vibes going all afternoon long, and we're so grateful to Public Allies Milwaukee, YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, and Milwaukee County Aging Services for bringing important resources to the community.

This one's already going down as a favorite…Let’s do it again next year!
