First project of the new year, and a new video series! I got this Rawlings Primo for Christmas, and its a project (my favorite!) So I decided to show you guys my process.

The first part of my process is tearing down the glove and assessing its condition for any potential repairs and/or preventive work.

Stay tuned for the next part!

Our NUMBER ONE restoration this year. Follower sent in a Rawlings Primo that needed some work. Hand sewn from some of the finest Italian Leather with a Calfskin hand stall, these were the Ferarris of baseball gloves in the early 2000s. This one got a bath, conditioning, a patch in the hand stall, new hand sewn welt, and new laces. Quite a fun project, and a good opportunity to get my hands on one!

Number TWO in our top restorations this year. This Nokona softball glove spent a couple decades in a barn under some car parts. Dusty, dry, and mildewy 😳

Fixed it right up and it's now putting in the work in a men's softball league!

Back to our countown of the top jobs in 2025. #3 is a Wilson 2855 First Base Glove. Really cool vintage glove being used by a local youth player. Very fun time trying to figure out these lace patterns - older gloves tend to be unique challenges

Counting down the top videos of 2025. Coming in at #4 - This restoration on a Rawlings TT10 "Stan Musial" Trapeze Glove. This one was found by someone cleaning their late mother in law's house out. They believied it was her church softball glove. Surprisingly great shape! We believe this was manufactured in 1961. It's ready to hit the field again!

Counting down the top 5 jobs of the year. Coming in at #5 - this Wilson A2800. This was one of my first in-depth jobs. Some minor repairs inside the glove, a fresh coat of dye, hand-painting logos back on, new laces. The Works! Had a mishap with the dye - spilled about half a bottle all over my workstation, my clothes, and my floor 🤣Learned a valuable lesson there. Stay tuned for more 2025 highlights!

Join me on a new video series where I show you how to relace a Catcher's Mitt! Not all Catcher's mitts are the same, but this series should be a huge help if you want to freshen up your own, or if you just want to understand the process!

In today's video, I am going to show you how I document each glove's OEM lacing pattern and remove all the laces. Next time, we'll start by relacing the palm!
