⚜️💚 The H&H Show Team kicked off the Summer Show Season with their annual trip to Saugerties, NY for an awesome week of competition at one of our favorite venues, HITS Hudson Valley! 🏞️
With one of our largest groups to date, we really couldn’t be happier with how everything went...The weather was lovely, the horses were all on their very best behavior, and our riders were determined as ever to kick off the season with a strong start 🙌🏻
🎀 Poppy K and Sienna Varga had some really lovely trips in the Low Children’s as well as the Saugerties Child Hunter to finish Reserve Champion. We love watching these two continue to grow and move up!
❤️🔥At Last and Caroline Schreiber had some great rounds in the equitation ring, earning a 7th place finish in the Junior 2’3 Equitation. Their success continued into the Low Children’s Hunters for a 7th and 8th place finish out of a large and competitive group, even going on to finish 7th in the Bit O’Straw 2’ Derby!
♦️Supreme and Violet Wilkinson continued their momentum in the Large Pony Hunters, having some great trips to finish 3rd, 6th, 7th, & 8th for the week! The duo continued on to the USEF Pony Medal for a great round that earned a 6th place finish out of a large and competitive group. We love watching these two continue to grow and develop as they set their sights on Pony Finals!
🍝 Alfredo and Charlotte Wilkinson took on the Children’s Hunters age 15-17, with super strong rounds to earn a 4th, 6th, 8th place finish, as well as, a 10th place ribbon in the combined Children’s Hunter classic! We love to watch this pair get more confident with each time out!
⛵️Just Sailing and Sienna Petrone had some very lovely rounds including a 3rd & 4th place finish in the Novice EQ, as well, as the Low Children’s Hunters, to earn 7th out of a huge group! The pair took on a challenging course in the Bit O’Straw 2’6 Derby with poise and class to earn a spot in the ribbons, with a 12th place finsh!
🇪🇸 Special guests, Cuen Atras and Jacqui Snedecker joined us for the week also having a blast the jumper ring, dabbling in the .70's with some great rounds and strong results including a 3rd, 6th, and 8th! By the end of the week the pair accomplished their personal goal and moved up to the .80s, even finishing 9th out of a really competitive and fast group!
🌼 Smoketree Snapdragon and Savanna Petrone had a very successful week with some adorable rounds in the Junior 2'3 Equitation to finish 6th & 7th place, as well as the 2' Bit O'Straw Hunter Derby taking a 4th place finish out of a large and competitive group! This pair capped off their weekend as Champion of the Saugerties Child Hunter!
👑 Woodland’s Prince Harry and Sam Roland kicked off our first day of showing in the jumper ring, setting the tone by taking 1st place in the .60 jumpers. Their fun in the jumper ring continued up into the .70s throughout the week with a 3rd and 4th place finish. This pair continued to take on one of their most challenging Derby courses to date, earning an 11th place finish in the 2'6 Bit O'Straw Derby, and transitioned nicely into the M&S 2'6 Adult Medal for a 6th place finish out of a very large and competitive group of adults. Sam & Harry wrapped up their week going double clear in the .70 Jumper Classic to finish 9th!
🐉 Luckdragon and Dianna Fitterman also took on their first big away show as a team with some lovely rounds across the hunters and equitation rings to finish 1st, 3rd and 5th in the Jr 2'3 Eq and 3rd in the 2'6 Medal, as well as 4th and 6th place finish in the Low Children's Hunters! We love getting to watch Leo do what he does best!
🕊️ Chiffre and Valerie McPartland took on their first big show as a pair having some really lovely trips in the Low Children's Hunters and finishing in 5th place in the 2' Bit O'Straw Hunter Derby!
🎤 Quicksilver One Direction and Emerson Elwood joined us for the trip and had a fun and successful week, getting Harry used to the sights, sounds, and excitement of a big horse show. We can't wait for guy to make his debut!
Thank you to Regan Montegari and Kiersten Alexander for all of their help throughout the week to make this another successful trip to HITS, as well as, Maddie Buscavage and Emerson Elwood for always lending a helping hand.
