One day our kids will look back and remember the adults that shaped their sports days.
They'll remember that one coach..... and the one thing they said that changed everything.
And it will either be the thing that finally made them believe in themselves... or the thing that made them question whether they belonged there.
They'll remember you in that car ride home..... and the one thing you said to them after a tough game.
And it will either be the words that added to their disappointment... or the thing that helped them believe that they could bounce back in the next game.
They'll remember the people in the stands..... and the things they said while they were out there playing.
And it will either be the positive support that they could always pick out... or the way added distraction to the game with their constant sideline coaching or yelling at refs.
As adults we have an opportunity to not only impact them now... .. but also impact the things they carry with them when the sport is over.
Let's never forget that.
