Join us October 22nd at CrossFit OwnIt at 7pm for this years COI Halloween Party! This year we’ve decided to change it up a little bit and have a pumpkin carving contest followed by a showing of a Halloween movie. Bring your pumpkin, tools for carving, and drinks/snacks to share. Dress to impress in your best costume and see if your pumpkin has what it takes to win the contest!

As many know, Hurricane Ian destroyed the Gulf Coast of Florida, along with many CrossFit gyms and CrossFit communities in the area. (Palm City) & (Jupiter) are putting together a fantastic event to raise funds/donations for those in need on the Gulf Coast.
We’re fortunate enough to have been asked to be a hosting gym along side them. They will be hosting the event at their gyms where people will participate in a special Hurricane relief WOD that will be partner. We will be doing the workout this Saturday morning October 15th at both our 8 am and 10 am classes. Everyone is welcome and it will be open to anyone, so bring a friend! There will be no drop in fees on Saturday. If you are able, we ask that you make a donation to those in need instead!

They have identified some gyms on the West Coast that need help rebuilding after the Hurricane, so all proceeds will go directly towards helping our CrossFit community on the West Coast.

Congratulations to Warren for receiving October Athlete Of The Month! We’re so proud of you and all the hard work you put in Warren. We really lucked out getting such an awesome member like you!

Warren started CrossFit in April of 2022.

On his first day of CrossFit, one of our members, Cam, was the first person to talk to him and made him feel welcome. During his first workout, he felt his heart beating in his head and after it was finished the earth was still moving as he laid on floor. It was an eye opener that he needed to focus on his health and conditioning.

Warren still gets nervous before the metcons and still struggles with conditioning but knows as long as he is consistent; everytime he shows up he is at least .01% better than the day before and thats growth.

His current training goals now are simply to “be better than yesterday and longevity; to be like all the men and women OG's at our gym, to be in my 50's and 60's, active and beating up the weights, I love watching them work and compete.”

His favorite part of CrossFit “is the mental win you recieve after you complete a workout that you dreaded and felt was too hard or even impossible. The community support is awesome as well - dealing with the stresses of life, sometimes you need a "dab" or to hear someone tell you "good work today". Also, being too tired and wore out from class to give a s**t is a great stress reliever.”

Not many people know this about Warren, but he has an addiction to Brazilian steakhouses and likes going to Orlando Magic basketball games!

Warren’s best advice to someone first starting CrossFit is to “use the Wodify app to follow the programmed weight percentage and document your growth. Seeing where I started to where I am now in the app is a great motivator to just keep going.”

Congratulations Warren. Your positive energy and encouragement is always appreciated. You make the gym a better place by being there! Keep up the awesome work!
