On Sunday three of our Jr High wrestlers and one youth Wrestler competed at the OHWAY Southeast Regional in Chillicothe. Starting it off was our D3 youth wrestler Elliott Deitrick who placed 3rd and qualified for the State Tournament! In D5 Calvin DeRoziere, Gabe Dunham and Milo Matthews all wrestled their way to qualifying for State as well with Calvin DeRoziere placing 5th, Gabe Dunham placed 3rd and Milo Mathews was runner up! Great job wrestling and representing your school as well!

On Sat the West Liberty-Salem Middle School Wrestling team traveled to Northeastern for the OHC Championships. The team fought hard after a long layoff from competition and were the OHC Runner Up. Every wrestler has showed tremendous improvement this year and it was exciting to see and coach. Goodluck to our 4 Horses, our eighth graders, Walker, Gabe, Josh and Milo who will be Freshman next year. It will be exciting to see the four of you compete next year! It has been a pleasure to coach you. Some of you for many years! To our 7th graders...you all have so much potential and it will be exciting to see you all develop into leaders for next season!

Today the WLS Middle School Wrestling team went to the Urbana Pete Rozmus Invitational where the the team placed 5th out of 18 teams! Way to go Tigers! Outstanding job today! We don't fill every weight class out but we give each team everything we got!

86lbs-Blake Smith was 1-2 and came just short of placing. Blake wrestled extremely hard!
92lbs-Walker Williams went 3-1 for a strong 3rd place finish. Way to go Walker!
98lbs-Calvin DeRoziere was 2-2 for a 4th place finish in a tough bracket. Great job Calvin!
104lbs-Gabe Dunham went 4-0 and was the 104lb CHAMPION. Great job Gabe! Keep it up!
110lbs-Josh Collins went 3-2 for 4th place in a tough bracket. Keep wrestling hard Josh!
116lbs-Milo Matthews went 4-1 for 3rd place! Milo gave up 10lbs every match to help the team! Outstanding job!
122lbs-Morgan Maurice went 0-2 and continues to wrestle hard each week!

Today the WLS Middle School Wrestling team traveled to Triad for the Triad Invitational. The team wrestled extremely well and came away with a 5th place finish out of 17 schools, just 6 points away from bringing home a 3rd place trophy! The coaches are so proud of how the team is working through the week and coming together during the tournament. It was fun to watch!

86lbs-Blake Smith was 3-1 for a 3rd place finish! Blake wrestled extremely strong today! Way to go Blake!
92lbs-Walker Williams went 3-0 and was the 92lb CHAMPION! Way to go Walker! Outstanding job!
98lbs-Calvin DeRoziere went 3-1 for a third place finish! Calvin also wrestled strong today! Way to go!
104lbs-Gabe Dunham went 3-0 for the 104lb CHAMPIONSHIP! Outstanding job Gabe!
110lbs-Milo Matthews went 4-1 for third place! Everything was coming together today for Milo! Great job Milo!

Yesterday the Middle School Wrestling team traveled to the Coldwater Invitational. The team placed 9th out of 36 schools! So very proud of this team! They have been working hard! Way to go Tigers!

86lbs Blake Smith was 3-2 for 7th place. Way to go Blake!
92lbs Walker Williams was 3-1 for a 2nd place finish in a tough bracket. Awesome job!
98lbs Calvin DeRoziere went 3-2 for 6th place. Way to keep working hard CD!
104lbs-Gabe Dunham was the 104lb CHAMPION after going 4-0 in another tough bracket. Way to go Gabe!
110lbs Milo Matthews was 0-2. This kid works his tail off and we can't wait until it all clicks! We will be clicking on all cylinders then!
116lbs Josh Collins went 2-2 for a 4th place finish! Josh has been working up a weight class and he is wrestling strong! Way to go!
128lbs Tracen Green went 1-2 and has been working hard as well. He is very strong and is learning alot! Good job!
142lbs Tyler Leas went 1-2 with a strong showing. We know what he is capable of doing! Good job!

Yesterday the Middle School Wrestled at our own Rumble in the Jungle. The team placed 5th out of 12 schools. The team continues to improve and is alot of fun to watch. We are proud of each and every one of you! Great job Tigers! The team will travel to Coldwater on Tuesday before our Christmas break.
