ALL SPORTS ARE HERE β BUT TRAINING DOESNβT STOP WHEN THE SEASON STARTS.
Practices and games develop your athlete in their sport. In-season strength and performance training helps maintain the physical tools they need to perform at their best all season long.
Research on youth athletes shows that properly designed resistance training can improve strength, jumping ability, speed, agility and sport-specific performance. Even more importantly, structured strength, balance and neuromuscular training can help reduce the risk of sports injuries.
At Athletes IQ Institute, in-season training isn't about exhausting athletes who are already practicing and competing.
It's about training SMARTER.
We adjust training around the athlete's sport, schedule and current workload. That can mean reducing volume, prioritizing quality movement, maintaining strength and power, addressing imbalances, and incorporating mobility, stability and recovery work. The goal is to help athletes stay strong and explosive without adding unnecessary fatigue or contributing to burnout. Individualized, developmentally appropriate programming is especially important for young athletes.
