Please read the following release from the Wilson School District in advance of this Friday's first home football game of the 2026 season:
"These guidelines enhance safety and security at our athletic events, which remain a top priority for the Wilson School District.
SPECTATOR EXPECTATIONS
❌ NO Backpacks Allowed: Spectators are strictly prohibited from entering Gurski Stadium with backpacks, duffel bags, or large oversized bags. All personal items are subject to visual search upon entry.
❌ NO Outside Food or Beverages: No coolers, bottles, cans, or outside food may be brought into the stadium complex.
❌ NO Masks or Face Coverings: Spectators may not wear masks, face coverings, or any items that obscure the face, in compliance with the Wilson High School Dress Code.
❌ NO Re-Entry Policy: Once a spectator exits Gurski Stadium, they are under a strict no re-entry rule. During home football games, tickets will be sold until the conclusion of the game. Attendees arriving after halftime will still be charged admission.
✅ Secondary Student ID Verification (Grades 6-12): To gain entrance to varsity football games, all unaccompanied secondary students from Wilson or the visiting school must present a valid school district student ID–either digital or physical– for admission. Students unable to provide valid credentials must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone.
👪 Elementary Student Supervision: All elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone. Chaperones must remain with and actively supervise their students throughout the event.
🪪 ID Upon Request: Any attendee inside the Gurski Stadium complex may be required to show a valid photo ID upon request by WSD administration, event staff, KRE Security, or Township of Spring PD officers.
These expectations are intended to help create an environment where our student-athletes, families, and community members can enjoy Wilson athletics in a safe, respectful, and positive setting. Our goal is not to limit participation, but to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event while maintaining appropriate conduct and supervision."
