Our HYFB Broncho Bowl team didn’t start off the way we wanted but we certainly ended on a high note with a 20-0 win. For the entire weekend, our defense gave up only 8 points, likely the lowest of any team.

Thank you to our parents, players, sponsors, coaches, and the athletic department at HHS for another wonderfully successful HYFB season.

We will see you all soon when registration for the 2026 season goes LIVE on March 1st. Spread the word to family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else interested in being part of one of the best youth football programs in the state!

Our 5/6 Broncho Bowl team will be playing today at 10:00am and 1:00pm at Lafayette Jeff’s Scheumann Stadium. Entry is free and there are concessions available. Come on out and cheer on HYFB!

Congrats to Blaine Grogan on being selected as our grand prize winner as part of our ‘Who Has My Back’ fundraiser this season! Check out those awesome seats as the Colts defeated the Tennessee Titans!

Our ticket winners for the Purdue v. Rutgers game had a blast! It turned out to be an awesome game to watch no matter what side you were cheering for!

Congrats to 6th grader Darren Duell on being named BGM’s 6th grade student of the month for September! We speak about leadership, dedication, discipline, & helping others as foundational pieces of our program. So excited to hear stories like this about our players being leaders in their buildings! Nice work Darren!

From Casey Huff about coaching youth sports:

A good youth coach is in it for the long game, not the immediate win.

To them, it's not about recruiting all the kids with the raw talent to stack their team for a tournament. It's about picking up the guys who might be a little more green, but who have the right attitudes and work ethic to develop their fundamentals into something solid.

A good youth coach knows the value of helping kids fall in love with the game before anything else—because a kid who discovers a passion is a kid who's going to put in the work in their spare time. Not because someone is forcing them, but because it lights a fire in their hearts and they're hungry for success.

A good youth coach sees that losses now mean learning moments, character growth, and room to improve, all of which lead to well-deserved wins down the road.

A good youth coach sees more than today or this season; they see the future—because of their positivity and guidance, it's going to be a bright one.
