Wood Shop Wednesday 🎉🪵🦃🦌

It’s been a great week in the shop! Even in September we are still slinging out turkey plaques. My favorite thing about making these turkey fan plaques is getting a tiny glimpse into the story and memories made during the hunt. Weather it’s a first bird, new state, finishing a grand slam or just simply a memorable hunt, I want to make sure how you choose to display your trophy and those memories something you’ll proud of Every time you see it! That’s why every one of my turkey fan plaques is 100% customizable with whatever engraving you want! It can be simple or as elaborate as you want, if I can fit it all on there, I’ll engrave it on!

In addition to that I ended up spending the day today getting a new load of rough cut Red Oak Lumber! This is how every single one of my projects start! From there, everything is 100% done by me and the Ol’ laser engraver!

The Arkansas Turkey fan plaque was added to the growing list of states plaques I’m making. This one is state #12 and will be adding more all the time!

And of course we had an arrowhead deer skull plaque head out the door as well! I’m sure with deer season coming up I’ll be over run with these in no time!

It’s officially September and the countdown to opening day is on! Below are our prices for this season. As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message.
Also a couple important things to keep in mind-

**By appointment only** Please call ahead to set up a time for drop off or pick up
**50% down upfront and the rest is due at pick up**
**Anything under $400 is due upfront at drop off**

Welcome to Leyda’s Taxidermy!

I’m Lainey, and hunting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the woods with my dad, learning to appreciate the outdoors, the excitement of the hunt, and the stories behind every harvest. Those experiences sparked a passion for preserving the memories that last long after the season ends.

At Leyda’s Taxidermy, every mount is treated with the same care and attention I would give my own. Whether it’s your first deer, a once-in-a-lifetime trophy, or a meaningful family hunt, my goal is to create a piece you’ll be proud to display for years to come.

I’m excited and look forward to serving fellow hunters and outdoor enthusiasts in our community. As I continue to learn and grow in this craft, I remain committed to providing quality work, honest communication, and the best experience possible for every customer.
