Tonight, our New Palestine Community Schools Board of Trustees proudly recognized the 2026 IHSAA Class 3A Softball State Championship Runner-Up New Palestine High School Dragons softball team.

What an incredible season that earned them a place among Indiana’s best. We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes, coaches, and everyone who supported this team throughout the season.

Congratulations, Dragons, on an unforgettable season and an outstanding state runner-up finish!

As you may know already since I'm late posting but your Lady Dragons came up short in a 4-6 loss to Hanover Central in the state championship game. So proud of this team and they never gave up. Went on a 2 out rally in the 7th to narrow the margin. Just came up a little short. Congrats to Hanover. And Congrats Lady Dragons on a fun season and great post season run!!

Huge congratulations to Saydie Miller on her Mental Attitude Award!!! So deserving
