2-club challenge in sandals and not gonna worry about it. 🙂 I got a new (to me) putter today, and I got my daughter a SW. Besides the blow-up on the last hole, not too bad. I'm definitely not used to the added loft of a 56* SW and what that does to trajectory and distance. It took me a few holes to figure out why I kept hitting it short. 🏌️🏻‍♂️⛳️😁

This is ridiculous. Wind at my back, and I absolutely pured it. 6-iron is my 160-170 club, not my 200 club. 🤣 To put it in perspective, I hit a perfect 5-wood out of the rough later in the round with the wind coming at me, and it was a long one in the fairway, but only 177. 5-wood usually is my 200 club.

It worked out perfectly, as I was playing the "way of the playa'" and intentionally splitting up the hole. I knocked the approach shot to five feet and came within two inches of a birdie. Best hole of the day. :)

The rest of the day was crap. 😏

This was the kind of round that makes you want to just quit golf. I didn't have my swing for most of the day, then I found it for a couple of holes in the middle, but after 6 & 7, I just wanted to go home. 😡

Meanwhile, the kid keeps creeping a little closer despite being 13 and completely untrained. Idk what I'm going to do when I have an absolute trainwreck of a day and she beats me. It's a really rough thing to be so proud of her and so down on yourself at the same time.

I guess it's just golf. 🏌️🏻‍♂️🏌️‍♀️⛳️⛳️

First round back since before all the craziness started in early March. My short game was crap last season, and I had the kid with me, so I figured this would be a way to ease back in and work on an area of need. No blow-up holes. Ya gotta luv that no matter what course you're on. 🤣🏌️🏌️‍♀️⛳️

Beautiful day in Central Ohio!

This was an, um, interesting round. I didn't play all that well, but there were other factors as well. Yesterday, I left four clubs at Dick's to be regripped, including putter, SW, and 7-iron, so I had to get a little creative with club selection. I used my daughter's purple "princess" putter, which has absolutely no feel. I had at least two shots that called for 7-iron where I hit a 6-iron long even while holding back. And try as I might, I couldn't hit as far or handle as well a lob wedge as I do a sand wedge, my main chipping club.

However, I usually have a few stinkers early in the season. I'll chalk this up more to that than the clubs. 😏🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Nice to be out walking nine today. I figured I'd play something easier since it's mid-winter, and it's been a while since I last played. It was very windy, but the ground wasn't as wet as I was expecting, so I roughed it out. This isn't a bad score for me. If I can just get rid of that one bad mish*t every hole, I'd be so much better. Maybe this will be the year. 🙂🏌️‍♂️⛳️
