The su***de of Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, has shocked and saddened the world.
Stephen was young, handsome, a husband, Dad to 3 beautiful children, famous, wealthy and seemingly happy.
How could someone who looked to “have it all” take their own life?
Sadness, shock, disbelief are the words most used to describe this tragedy. All are true.
‘tWitch made us smile, he and his beautiful family brought hope and optimism to the world during a dark time. How could this person who emanated love and joy be suffering internally to the point of taking his own life?
Mental illness is often unseen and unheard. It can be masked behind a veil of “pretend” happiness. The pain to great to acknowledge or share. They live in a silent hell, alone.
My friends this is why kindness matters! It’s not a saying exclusive for school aged children on a playground. It’s for humankind of every age, gender, race and creed.
We must look up from our phones/devices and see who’s in front of us, truly see them. We are all flawed no one is perfect social media is not “real life”.
My call to action to those reading this, CHOOSE TO RESPOND WITH KINDNESS! Do not assume you know what some is thinking, feeling or experiencing here’s a newsflash, YOU DON’T!! Make the choice to be kind, understanding and empathic.
The struggle is real in the world people are in deep emotional pain. Mental illness is real and rampant. I hope that ‘tWitch’s passing serves as a catalyst for change. We all need to do better and be better.
Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, may you Rest In Peace. To his family and friends may his memory be a blessing.
