CSCA's online team on Lichess, CSCA Open Events, won 2nd place in the August ChessMood Team Competition and also 2nd in the August Streamers Arena. A special thanks to our streamers and players for supporting the team! CSCA OE returned to form this summer, competing in multiple prominent platform competitions, hosting six major prize events, as well as about twenty monthly competitions, and reaching new peak membership at 26,700+ in August.

Samarkand, Uzbekistan will host the 2026 Chess Olympiad, which will be the largest ever with 208 open teams and 190 women's teams entered, a total of 1,974 players and over 4,000 guests. The event starts September 15 and concludes September 27.
