CampGroup Cares! Today, the CG team gathered in Mt. Kisco, NY for our annual Firehouse Cooking Extravaganza. Together, they prepared an amazing meal and packed 50 personal care packs for the Open Arms Men's Shelter in White Plains 🫶

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re grateful for our amazing people (seasonal and year-round) who make our camps some of the best in the U.S.

Last month, we gathered for our annual retreat, 3 days of professional development workshops, brainstorming, and connecting as colleagues. We learn from the latest child development and camping industry trends to train our staff so our campers can have the very best experiences.

We also celebrated our accomplishments and presented awards to standout camps and colleagues. The 2025 recipients of our coveted CampGroup Awards are:

The Fill ‘Em Up Award recognizes camps that significantly increased their enrollment in summer 2025, presented to Berkshire Lake Arts Camp and Camp Mah-Kee-Nac.

The only award voted on by peers, our Team Player Award recognized Lake of the Woods Camp’s Kris Lelli, international staffing and Visa program guru, for being a standout colleague.

The Green Czar Award was presented to Camp Akeela for preserving energy and reducing their utility costs.

The CampGroup Mission Awards recognized Camp Wicosuta, Lake of the Woods Camp, Greenwoods Camp and Camp Kippewa for delivering on our mission of enriching children’s lives. These camps had an excellent camper return rate in summer 2025.

The Building Community Awards were presented to Camp Mah-Kee-Nac ’s Kevin Lilley and CampGroup’s Simonie Duncan for their deep commitment to building connections amongst colleagues. Each has decades of service to CampGroup, and they are both highly regarded amongst their peers.

The Industry Leadership Award recognized Camp Winaukee director Matt Jackowitz for his longstanding commitment to volunteerism and outstanding contributions to the summer camp industry.

The CampGroup Excellence Award was delivered to Lake of the Woods Camp and Greenwoods Camp. One of our Core Value Awards, this honor recognizes top-notch performance overall.

Congratulations to our honorees, and thank you for a stellar 2025! We can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.

This prestigious award recognizes wisdom, inspiration and contributions to camping and children, and is a testament to Dayna’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to camping.
