It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. When I decided to open my own independent studio after Cyclebar closed, I did so with a full heart of optimism, a vision rooted in passion, and a deep love for this community. R⚡️DE was built from the ground up — through joy, sweat, strength, and the shared belief that we could create something special together. And we did.
However, life can take us down a different path we never anticipated, and I am no longer in a financial position to carry on in ownership. R⚡️DE has been an incredible blessing for me the past year, and I can honestly say I am not sure I would have made it through 2024 without the support, and motivation to dig deep, this community provides.
Also, like many other small businesses in our area, the strain of commercial rent in this location is simply unsustainable. We have seen several neighboring businesses have to close or relocate, and earlier this year, it became clear our existing location would not be long-term. Since then, we have been working to find a new space or opportunity to keep our community together. However, once again, life took us down a path we could never have anticipated, and nothing has come to fruition. Change can be painful, but it can also open the door to growth, for both the studio and all of you who ride here.
Thank you for trusting me with your time, your goals, and your energy. I’ll forever be grateful for what we built together. My one ask is that you continue to show up, sweat, smile, connect, support, and keep pushing towards your goals until we say Goodbye. We will be planning Farewell R ️DEs on December 20, 2025. Please reach out to me or Kjiesta Moch with any questions or concerns.
In gratitude,
Sara Lau
