What’s up strangers,

We will be coming out to mtn snow to show up for our boy Huntleys memorial run down mtn snow. We encourage any one to come gather and hang out at the top and take a run for the wild man.

2024 has been a strange year for Chaingang racing. For me personally this is the least amount of biking since 2015 and I won’t lie. I’m butt hurt seeing all the finals posts, A race I was always excited for. The great loss of a good friend and a good teammate Scott Huntley really was just a whirl wind of emotions for every one. With darkness around the team we try to make some bright light. That’s some thing I’m truly excited to share with every one. I went out to Huntleys celebration of life and got to chat with his farther to discuss how I can help financially with the money that we raised within the community. He said what was most important is that his son is remembered and working on his memorial for Scott. So with the help from and we have came up with “Scott Hurricane Huntley Racing Scholarship”. We took a lot of time and thought into this and consider all options that we had. Some thing I’m personally proud to be a part of, a great loss turned into an opportunity for one person. The 3 of us all threw around names and ideas, I even reached out to a select few within the community for some votes. The person selected I feel is the best candidate, I think for his age we all should admire his constant dedication, drive, character, and just overall a good person. I KNOW Huntley had a spot in his heart for this guy and really I don’t know who doesn’t. With great excitement I’d like to award .l.downing the Hurricane scholarship. We are hoping to see this boy finally get a chance to head to a World Cup without worrying about saving every single penny. I’m rooting for you, the team is rooting for you, the community roots for you and of course Scott Huntley will be rooting for you.
Love ya buddy, can’t wait to see you do great things.

I have no words for this weekend, the amount of sadness and happiness at the same time is beyond confusing. The entire weekend felt like a blur, just doing a lot and making sure every thing was going how I planned took me out of the moment. I’m beyond grateful for a very close friend of the Gang Cooper Mead for coming out Saturday and capturing a very meaningful moment with the gang and the community. Please keep it coming and would love to see every one else’s perspective on this weekend. Thank you too all who contributed to ANY length to make sure he was honored this weekend. So so so many of you constantly reaching out for figuring out ways to help has been mind blowing. For me it’s time to sit back and really relive all these memories. Thank you all once again. He would have been stoked.

In helps to bring the Hurricane home we are looking for any donations to any amount to bring the man back to his family. The family prefers not to do a go fund me. So I’m trying the next best thing, the gang is paying out its entire left team budget from last year, the amazing help from , and the community let’s make it easy on the family.

2019: the magic year for the gang. This Saturday night I’m urging you to come hang with us one more time this season. If you ever needed help from the gang at any point this is the time to come hang out and live it up. I heard we might have a little fire, some beverages from Common roots, and just bringing it back to when DH was fun and not full of softies.
