Coxsackie Sportsmen's Club

Coxsackie Sportsmen's Club Dedicated to sportsmen and sportswomen in Greene and surrounding counties in New York.

The Coxsackie Sportsmen's Club is the oldest active club in Greene County, New York. We have developed from a dozen or so target shooters, gathering for informal practice in a bus company garage to the present well organized group which owns its clubhouse on forty acres of land. The Coxsackie Sportsmen's Club is made up of Sportsmen and Sportswomen who enjoy Hunting, Fishing, Preservation of Open

Space, and the Shooting Sports. We work to further these pastimes among our members and the youth of the area.

FYI.
They knew it was unconstitutional, but included it anyway.
Bravo to Judge Sinatra for his ruling requiring the State to pay attorneys fees. This what New York has been doing all along - knowingly passing unconstitutional legislation, causing pro 2A groups to spend millions in the kangaroo courts in New York, until the case reaches the Federal level.

A district court has ordered New York State to pay over $817,000 in attorneys’ fees after losing a major lawsuit over a law that banned carrying fi****ms in houses of worship. The legal action, brought by His Tabernacle Family Church and its pastor, argued the law infringed on constitutional rights. Federal courts sided with the church, emphasizing that restricting fi****ms in worship spaces violated the First and Second Amendments. The settlement highlights continued national debate over security, faith, and gun rights in sacred spaces.

The crossbow bill was signed by the governor today.

08/25/2025

There were hundreds of thousands of shell casings collected for seven years in New York State from semi automatic handguns. Forty four million dollars were spent during that time. The defunct program was called COBIS.
The casings were photographed to record the breechface and primer impressions, which are unique “fingerprints” of each handgun.
The program was finally terminated by removing funding from future budgets, because NO CRIME WAS EVER SOLVED USING THE CASINGS.

The New York Combined Ballistic Identification System (CoBIS) was a mandatory state program established in 2001 that required gun dealers to collect ballistic samples (fired shell casings) from new handguns for entry into a state database to aid in crime solving. However, the program was repealed in 2012 after being criticized as an expensive failure, costing taxpayers millions without solving a single crime and imposing a bureaucratic burden on gun sellers.

Now, the Democrats are complaining that “micro stamping” has not been implemented. The process leaves an identifier on the primer of fired shell casings, similar to the earlier scheme. If the previous costly programs was proven to be useless, WHY ARE WE DOING THE SAME THING NOW? Whether it is shell casing impressions or microstamped fired primers, the outcome is the same.
The majority of illegal handguns used in crimes in New York are smuggled in from outside of New York. That is a FACT. Shell casings from those guns will not have an identifier.

WHY IS THE STATE SPENDING MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT HAS ALREADY PROVEN TO BE USELESS?

DO NOT DONATE TO THE “NEW YORK FI****MS ASSOCIATION”.
THEY ARE A SCAM ORGANIZATION THAT DOES NOTHING TO FIGHT FOR GUN OWNERS, EXCEPT TAKE YOUR MONEY.
WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO POST A WARNING ACCOMPANYING THEIR FB PITCH FOR DONATIONS, IT WAS INSTANTLY BLOCKED.
THE ONLY PRESENCE IN OUR STATE IS A UPS STORE IN VICTOR, NY, OSTENSIBLY A MAIL DROP TO RECEIVE DONATIONS THAT AREN’T SENT ONLINE.
LEGITIMATE PRO SECOND AMENDMENT ORGANIZATIONS HAVE BEEN WARNING GUN OWNERS NOT TO FALL FOR THE AUTHETIC LOOKING POSTS. THEY ARE CLEVERLY BLOCKING ATTEMPTS TO WARN PEOPLE BY PREVENTING SHARING OF THEIR FB POSTS.

🚨 2A Update: The 'FIRE' Act Hits Congress 🇺🇸

Rep. Tony Wied (R‑WI) just introduced the FIRE Act — a bold move to ban ALL magazine capacity limits nationwide.

👉 Why? Because over 700 million+ standard-capacity mags are already in circulation… and restricting them only criminalizes law-abiding gun owners.

📍 Where it stands now:
The bill is sitting in committee — no vote yet, but it’s already drawing national attention. Backed by the NRA, GOA and NSSF.

🧠 Bottom line:
This bill would stop all state/local mag bans cold — from California to New York — and reinforce your 2nd Amendment rights coast to coast.

Would YOU support it if it hit the House floor?
