Friends and Fun Family Bowling League A fun-filled bowling page designed for all to enjoy for a fun time of bowling! Do you love to bowl? Is your life eat, sleep, bowl, repeat? (See League Rules 11A).

articipant of the Friends and Fun bowling league must be at least 18 years of age to bowl in league and/or must reach the age of 21 prior to bowling sweeps (Nevada State Law); there is no maximum age limit. General Information

All league participants, league or otherwise must: Have a general knowledge of all league rules and meet the minimum age requirement of 18 with no maximum. Participant is hereby informed (or has been informed) this is a resort league that travels to Las Vegas and Laughlin every calendar year; all participants are responsible for their own transportation, food and all accommodations taxes and fees associated with traveling. Participant also agrees to relinquish any portion of the aforementioned, and will not hold Bowlero West Covina Lanes, the Friends and Fun Bowling League and/or the Friends and Fun Family Bowling League Facebook fan page responsible for all or any portion the recovery of any refunds. All participant’s league or otherwise, hereby authorize the fullest consent to the Friends and Fun Family Facebook fan page the exclusive use of my name and/or picture and/or likeness for exclusive use within the fan page. The Friends and Fun Family Facebook fan page and it’s owner(s)/administrator(s) acknowledge the use of participants name(s)/picture(s)/likeness to be used as sole proprietary within the fan page and will not be used anywhere else without the participant(s) written and/or verbal consent.

*PLEASE NOTE*: Any individual(s)/team(s) not participating at sweeps cannot qualify for any prize(s) awarded and therefore will not be compensated; to be eligible, all participants must have rolled ⅔ of the total games from the current season and be present to qualify for any and all cash awarded prizes. (See League Rules 10a – f or USBC Rule 117a).

*ALSO PLEASE NOTE*: Joining league(s) already in progress: If joining a (sanctioned) league already in progress consider this: all participants will be responsible for all prize fund fees incurred from week 1 on to current week. To avoid what can possibly amount to astronomical fees, consider joining the (following) next season. As of the current 2019 season, no new bowlers to the league will be permitted to join after mid-season has occurred. (See league rules 8a - d). As for some advice when joining leagues already in progress: Just make sure you join early enough so you qualify to bowl sweeps; most leagues will require you to bowl ⅔ of the total games to qualify for sweeps. For example: The Friends and Fun bowling league season is 31 weeks at 3 games per night for a total of 93 games; therefore, you’ll need to bowl 66 or more games (21 of 31 nights) to qualify for sweeps. If you wish to qualify, do not join this league if their beginning their 10th week or more. If the league has any “bye” weeks, please take this into consideration when joining. As with the Friends and Fun bowling league, no new members will be allowed to join the league mid-season or afterwards (See league rule 8d). When considering joining any league, consult their league rules as they will vary per league.

Substitutes: (a.k.a. “Subs”) in this league, “Subs” are not required to pay league fees but must adhere to all other fees incurred and must obey all rules of the league as well as those that of the bowling center, including the aforementioned as league “subs” are not always needed; they too must roll 66 or more games to qualify for sweeps. NOTE: ALL SUBS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY SANCTION FEES WHEN 'SUBBING' FOR A BOWLER ON A SANCTIONED LEAGUE (THE FRIENDS AND FUN BOWLING LEAGUE IS A SANCTIONED LEAGUE) THE SANCTION FEE WILL BE WAIVED IF THE FEE WAS PAID THROUGH ANOTHER LEAGUE IN THE SAME CALENDAR YEAR; THIS RULE APPLIES TO ALL BOWLERS; LEAGUE REGULARS AND SUBSTITUTES.

Make sure you’re always wearing bowling shoes on the lanes and not street shoes as doing so might cause serious injury. Doing so, and if caught, you will be evicted from the bowling center and all fees you paid to bowl will not be refunded.

The most concrete blocks broken on the head with a bowling ball dropping from above is 45 and was achieved by John Ferraro (USA) on the set of Lo Show Dei Record, in Milan, Italy, on April 14, 2011. The participant was on his knees holding stacked concrete blocks on his head. His assistant dropped a bowling ball (weighing 7.3kg) from above directly on the blocks placed on his head causing them to break.

The most consecutive tenpin bowling games bowling the same score is 8 and was achieved by Stanley Kodish (USA) during the PBA Trust Corp National Tournament in Toledo, Ohio, USA on March 09, 1988. Kodish bowled 202 on eight occasions breaking the previous record of Bob Barker who had bowled the score of 157 on seven consecutive occasions.
