WE’RE BACK, and with a new location: 3694 Leaphart Rd! 2024 was quite a year of lessons. I’m not even sure how to hop back on FB with this news because I don’t want to minimize God’s grace and my gratitude, but I also don’t want to give the impression that all is perfect and easy. It isn’t. If I’m going to be on FB again, I will provide context behind what is now a beautiful, new space…
Sacrifices that were made during this season:
Time from every member of my family
Peace in my marriage
Peace in my home
Sleep
Money
Comfort
Certainty
Routine
Security/stability
Investing in my friendships
My hygiene (aaand my family’s)
My diet (and my family’s)
What this required/resulted in:
Marriage counseling
Lots of apologies
angry kids
Frustration/impatience
Fear/doubt
Dependence on Christ despite fear/doubt
Perseverance through things that felt impossible
Lots of scream prayers (or “crying out” to God)
Faith in Him over the voice of “reason”
So I don’t know who needs to hear this, but nothing on your newsfeed is the “truth.” It is the shiny, polished, tiny piece of someone’s day (with no context), which makes it a partial truth. A partial truth is a DECEPTION. They actually don’t have a better life than you. They are perfectly flawed humans just like you and me. Can’t we just rest in that? Comparison is a joy killer. Look up friends, and trust Him. Focus on YOUR life.

He is so worth following. I can’t wait to see what He has in store!
