Where it started in August 2019 and where it ended in September 2025. Thank you DC Softball for the past 6 years - you have filled my life with so much joy! I must praise my amazing team for the years of Loyalty, I have had the pleasure of coaching the most amazing group of girls & their families! We love you and are always cheering for you!

We return yet again - DC SOFTBALL in Loris, SC today! I am so excited - we have some former DC players joining us along with some long time friends that have never played with us but always against us. OUR PASSION FOR SOFTBALL AND LOVE FOR JIMMY & WENDY - is showing up and showing out - stay tuned for pics.

After a year away, the DIAMOND CHASERS reunited on the field to honor Jimmy Barfield, spouse of our assistant Coach Wendy who passed mid July in Richland Neuro ICU after suffering from a stroke.

We may have struggled getting our bats started in the pool games but we came out swinging in the bracket play. The day was to honor Jimmy no matter the outcome, we try very hard to be family and support one another - proud of the end result and the fact we played excellent defense all day then finally getting our offense rolling in the bracket games.

Marlee Black #2 received MVP in 1st bracket game batting 3 for 3 and scoring 3 of 10 runs.

Hannah Pack #3 received MVP in 2nd bracket game - coming in the game to get us out of a hard 1st inning and allowing only 1 run for the remainder of the game.

Lyza Prickelmyer #23 hits a home run scoring 2 runs to put us up 3-2 early in championship game.

Thank you Zy Ransom for being a great addition to the day and catching a majority of our 4 games.

Congratulations to our other Sumter team HotStyx on winning the Gold Bracket.

Thank you to all the players and families for your love and support not only for DC SOFTBALL but for Wendy as we celebrated the life of her husband Jimmy.

DC FASTPITCH SCHOOL DAY BLUES Tournament 18U in Florence, SC brings a day of 1 loss and 3 wins scoring 19 runs and allowing 12. We had some great competition and came away with the Silver Bracket Championship.

This tournament concludes our Travel Ball Journey as Diamond Chasers of Sumter 18U. We have had an amazing 5 years as a Sumter, SC travel Fastpitch team, starting in 12u and advancing our way into HSU. These girls are amazing, extremely talented, good-hearted children; while their parents have been unbelievably kind, generous and supportive in all aspects of my life as I led their daughters alongside Jerry and Wendy. We have won a lot but I hope what they take with them are the lessons learned with softball and how they can apply that to their life going forward. I am incredibly sad our time has ended but with all things that end, another chapter opens and I am cheering for each one of them in all things they wholeheartedly pursue in their next steps. I cannot say enough about our DC FAMILY and I am so thankful I had them during the unexpected life altering passing of my Charles Anna then the anticipation and arrival of our second baby girl.

We truly are blessed and though the softball tournaments may be over I pray we can carry a lifetime of friendships of love and support forward. Not goodbye but see you all again soon as we move forward! - With all my love, Jessica Stiles
