The Murph Challenge is coming to the Oscar Lasko YMCA and Childcare Center on Friday, May 22, 2026, and we invite our community to come together for an unforgettable workout honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Whether you take on the full Murph, Half Murph, or a partitioned version, this challenge is about more than fitness — it’s about heart, perseverance, and community.

Yesterday, ECF showed up and put in the work for Murph prep. 🇺🇸💪

Every Memorial Day, we take on Murph: a Hero WOD honoring Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who gave his life in service. Traditionally: 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, 1-mile run.

But Murph isn’t about doing it 100% as prescribed. It’s about showing up, working hard, pushing yourself, and honoring Lt. Murphy.

Scale it, modify it, or go full send… just show up and give your all.

Local to ? Check out East Chestnut Fitness at the Oscar Lasko YMCA. Functional training with coached classes with an incredible community. Morning classes Monday through Saturday. PM classes offered a couple of times a week.
