Hello Parents,
The West Boylston/Boylston Youth Basketball League (WBBYB) is town basketball at its best! We offer four leagues of increasing competition to boys and girls in grades K through 8. During the preseason, prospective players in grades 3-8 will attend a skills evaluation practice in which their abilities will be recorded. We pride ourselves in the proper placement of players to ensure
that teams are balanced. For beginning players (grades K-2) we offer a wonderful Instructional League where budding players can work on basketball fundamentals and play in coach facilitated games. For our developing players (grades 3-8) we offer the Recreation League. We offer separate boys and girls leagues with organized teams and games. Teams typically practice one-two nights per week and play one refereed game on the weekend. Next, we offer our adept players (grades 3-8) the travel team. Here boys and girls compete in separate, competitive leagues. The travel team is a competitive level of basketball. Teams typically practice one-two nights per week and play one game per week. Above all else, the WBYBB League has two goals. First, we want your son or daughter to learn something meaningful in the time they spend with us. We want them to leave each year having acquired another skill which will help them in the future. But, more importantly, we want our players to have fun. As we all know, we learn and grow more in situations where we are happy, having fun, and are excited to be there.
