🚨 COLLEGE FOOTBALL COULD BE CHANGING IN A MAJOR WAY.
In this episode of The Touchdown with Doug Smith, we break down the latest developments surrounding college sports legislation and what new rules surrounding NIL, player compensation, the transfer portal and college athletics could mean for the future of the sport.

Could this finally bring some structure to the NIL era?

We also get into one of the biggest frustrations in modern college football: players repeatedly jumping into the transfer portal AND coaches leaving programs in the middle of the season for another job.

🏈 In this episode we discuss:

• NIL and player compensation
• Potential changes involving the transfer portal
• What this could mean for college football players
• Whether college football needs stronger transfer rules
• Coaches leaving programs during the season
• Revenue sharing and the changing business of college athletics
• Whether these changes can bring stability back to college football

Cleveland Browns fans… what happened to all that outrage?

For years, Deshaun Watson has been one of the most criticized players in Cleveland. Browns fans booed him, wanted him gone, and many acted like they wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with him.

But now that Watson is winning games and the Browns are 3-1 with him as the starter… suddenly the energy is changing.

That’s what we’re talking about today: SELECTIVE OUTRAGE.

Are Browns fans starting to embrace Deshaun Watson because he’s winning? Does winning make fans forget everything they said before? And after the victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, are we watching one of the biggest fanbase flip-flops in the NFL?

I’m breaking down the hypocrisy, the reaction from Browns fans, Watson’s recent success, and why winning has a funny way of changing the conversation in professional sports.

Like Chris Rock said, “YOU AINT GOTTA LIE TO KICK IT” 😂 here’s a true story of a guy who was a neighbor of mine in my Apartment Complex community in Texas, who is not a habitual liar, but would tell lies for years and pose as a former NFL PLAYER. He even purchased a fake Super Bowl ring. With today’s big news of the fake 49er who scammed several women out of over $1 million, it prompted me to make this video.
