Mother nature is not on our side again today! Races cancelled in Beaver Dam. Maybe a trip to race tmrw, we'll see. Next race on the schedule is next Saturday in Beaver Dam.

Well, tonight was one of those nights that was perfect until it wasn't. It was go kart night at Slinger Super Speedway tonight so Jameson got to race right after Late model qualifying. (Replay is on FloRacing if you wanna watch) He would start 6th out of 8 karts. On the green flag he jumped straight to the outside and was up to 3rd by the first turn. He quickly made his way to second, and patiently worked up to and passed the leader. He then set sail, lapping up through third place as he took the white flag. Second place was still very close behind, which is where the problems started. Jameson thought the white flag was the checkered flag and coming off turn 1 let off the gas and slowed to a pace speed, allowing second to pass him. He was 1 turn away from winning on the biggest stage of his young racing career.

We will take this as a learning experience, and hold our heads high knowing what an absolute perfect race he ran up to that point.

We have a 2 week break now and then finish out the season with 5 more races at the Dodge County 1/8 mile, and a Jr sprint special in Colona, IL.

It was another busy week of racing for us at 4F. We started Wednesday night at Slinger Super Speedway with MGK. Jameson was able to bust out the broom, winning his heat and his feature. He had a flawless night of driving and his growth as a driver showed.

Saturday we headed out to The Dodge County 1/8 mile in Beaver Dam. After replacing the bent axle and burned up clutch and fixing the wing on Jameson's sprint car we headed to he track to get ready. Both kids seemed on their game and ready. Lainey drove like a seasoned vet, but her kart (read that as Dad) let her down. Jameson drove his butt off all night as well, he just needs to gian some experience on a tighter track in a bigger car.

Then we went on to our qualifying challenge. 3 laps, fast time take home $100. Lainey was first out in her group and put down a fast lap of 15.3 seconds. Again the kart wasn't quite there, but that was good enough for 3rd place and only 0.2 seconds off first. Jameson went out and put down 3 fast laps, but we forgot to put the transponder on the car, so he didnt register a time.

Overall it was a great week of racing. Next up is back to Beaver Dam on Aug 1st.

It has been an incredibly busy few weeks at 4F Racing. We've had 4 races ourselves, spent some time watching races, including the Slinger Nationals this past week, and today the kids did the Dirty Ninja Mud Run in West Bend. It has been fun.

The racing has been up and down for us. Mostly up, but a couple scary downs. Lainey is starting to get very comfortable in her kart, and is now making passes and getting faster each time out. Jameson picked up a heat win and feature win with Memorial Go-Kart, and continues to grow in his sprint car. With growth comes speed which makes mistakes more costly, as he found out 2 weeks in a row, ending in the bails one night, and flipping another night. He was OK both times, and able to continue racing.

We raced in Beaver Dam last night at the 1/8 mile at the Dodge County Fairgrounds and to say the night was a success is an understatement. Lainey is finally figuring out her kart and (even though it was after she got lapped) is able to keep up with the leaders. Jameson had his first race in the Jr sprint and adapted very quickly and made his presence known.
