The Wisconsin Section is one of the 41 sections that comprise the regional entities of the PGA of America. Over 500 members and apprentices belong to the Wisconsin Section stretching from areas in the Upper-Peninsula of Michigan to almost the entire state of Wisconsin. Annually the Wisconsin Section conducts over 40 professional events, operates it's Junior Golf Foundation and participates in several growth of the game activities (Play Golf America Days, Golf Shows and instructional clinics).

Congratulations to our two newest members on being elected to Class A PGA status.

Allyssa Ferrell of The Legend At Bergamont and Sam Weatherhead of Links and Drinks Indoor Golf Bar accomplished the feat in the past month.

Both are known for their impressive playing resumes but are now ready to leave their mark on the business side of the game.

Well done, Allyssa and Sam!

ICYMI - On Monday, 100 Wisconsin PGA members and associates gathered at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club for the Reyes Retail Pro-Assistant, supported by Bushnell Golf, StrackaLine, and the PGA Tour.

Securing the Division One crown (traditional division) and earning their spot on the prestigious Manuel de la Torre Trophy were home club favorites Jamie Christianson and Dean Mehlberg! The pair jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, carding a flawless 12-under-par better ball round. Their scorecard featured 12 birdies and zero bogeys—helping them pull off a tight one-stroke victory over the late charging duo of Drew Ringelstetter and TJ Walton of Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. The winning team became the first host-course team to lift the trophy since 2018!

Over in Division Two, Andy Hansen and Austin Schloesser representing Tripoli Country Club, topped the leaderboard with an an impressive 10-under-par 62. Good enough for a SIX shot win!

Huge appreciation goes out to all our event partners for making this fun event possible.

Last but certainly not least, a big thank-you to the staff and members at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club for providing a top-tier venue and some great hospitality. We're already counting down the days until we return for the 2027 Suter Ward Group Wisconsin State Open!

🏆 CHAMPIONS at The Legend at Bristlecone Pro-Am!

Chris Welch, Austin Gaugert, James Owens & Eric Hoersten battled their way to a 🥇 -19 finish to take home the title at today’s Legend at Bristlecone Pro-Am!

Today’s event benefitted PGA REACH Wisconsin and its mission to positively impact lives through the game of golf. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our foundation! 💙⛳️

🏆 WHAT A FINISH! 🏌️‍♂️

Kaylor Steger and Mike Van Sickle put on an absolute show at the 106th Suter Ward Group at Morgan Stanley Wisconsin State Open on Wednesday, going toe-to-toe in a thrilling battle down the stretch. After two incredible performances, it came down to a hole-by-hole playoff—and with only one trophy on the line, Kaylor Steger got it done when it mattered the most.

⚔️ The Duel: Steger and Van Sickle went back-and-forth during regulation, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. Throughout the final round Van Sickle made six birdies and an eagle, while the champion combatted that with seven birdies and an Albatross Double Eagle. Amazingly the eagle out of Van Sickle and the Double Eagle out Steger came during a short sequence of events on the par-5 12th.

Huge congrats to Kaylor on the big win, and hats off to Mike Van Sickle for a stellar battle. Wisconsin golf at its absolute finest! 👏

Former Badger Men's Golf player Max Schwarz fired a 4-under-par 68 on Tuesday to take the solo lead. But the tournament is far from over—19 players are within four shots of the top spot heading into today's 36-hole marathon finale!
