Bellevue at Puyallup | Week 2

This has a strong case as Washington’s Game of the Week. MaxPreps’ latest computer rankings have Bellevue No. 1 and Puyallup No. 2 in Washington, with both teams entering the matchup 1–0.

When: Saturday, September 12, 2026 — 7:00 PM PDT
Matchup: No. 1 Bellevue (1–0) at No. 2 Puyallup (1–0)

Puyallup’s offense looked dangerous in its season opener. Senior quarterback Noah Smith threw for 306 yards and six touchdowns. Senior receiver Luke Parker finished with 162 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while junior running back Briytan Bailey rushed for 135 yards and two scores.
Those performances weren’t out of nowhere. Smith threw for 2,230 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2025, while Bailey rushed for 1,696 yards and 24 touchdowns as a sophomore. Up front, four-star offensive lineman Gecova Doyal is committed to Washington.

Bellevue presents a completely different challenge. The Wolverines enter Week 2 sitting atop the MaxPreps Washington computer rankings, setting up an early-season battle between the state’s top two ranked teams.

Washington high school football is back, and Week 1 delivered. 🏈🌧️

No. 3 Graham-Kapowsin travelled to Lake Stevens for a highly anticipated matchup with the No. 4 Vikings. Battling through a relentless downpour, both teams delivered a physical, hard-fought game before Lake Stevens held on for the 31–26 victory.

Washington’s next generation of Polynesian quarterbacks is already making noise. 🌺🏈

Isaiah Pua is a Class of 2031 dual-threat QB out of Yelm, Washington. A proven winner and 4.0 student, Isaiah has already captured a WYFL championship and helped Team Washington win the D1 Nation All-American Bowl.
Representing his Samoan culture with pride, humility and toughness, remember the name.
