It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Homer Croom's passing. Early this morning, Dad’s battle with cancer ended and he left us to join his friends and family at the big BMX track in the sky. We know he is at peace now and is likely already trading tall tales with old friends. Thank you to everyone who reached out and shared memories with him over the last few weeks. Reminiscing about days past brought him comfort and many smiles in the time he had left.

Thank you to everyone who shared and donated to the GoFundMe campaign. It means the world to us and will be a step forward in covering Dad’s expenses and completing much needed home repairs to help Mom move forward.

There is some news that there is no good way to share. My father, Homer, has received a terminal cancer diagnosis, and we know his time left with us is very limited. I know what an impact he made on my life, and many of you have shared stories in the past of how he impacted yours as well. I need each of you to know how much the sport of BMX and the BMX community mean to my father and our family. My childhood was spent at tracks, races, and competitions all over the country and helped me create some of the best memories a kid could ask for. My dad’s favorite stories to tell (and if you know him…) were about his teams, trips, races, and all things BMX. If you have pictures or stories of dad, we’d love for you to share them and help him reminisce.
