The focus of the camp is driven by the name. Velocity in generic terms is "SPEED WITH A PURPOSE", and thus we want to MAXIMIZE the speed of every participant by focusing on the PURPOSE. We have seen a lot of talented swimmers that will benefit from this specific type of clinic focused on technique and a drive for specific purpose. We certainly do not want to discount the importance of aerobic trai
ning, but would like the focus of this camp to be on "details". Our coaches will set your training agenda, we just want you to bring your best effort and attention to achieve success. There will also be a glimpse into the world of a collegiate athlete. Each swimmer at our camp will be taught not only by an elite level athlete, but a person who has trained elite level athletes for years. They are proven, and have the resume to back it up. If you are ready to learn, they will create in you a path towards your future success. You will be spending no less than 3.5 hours per day working on technique and purpose (with the exception of Wednesday when we will have an open water swim in beautiful Lake Chelan, and then to Slide Waters to celebrate our accomplishment). You will also be participating in dryland bootcamps twice daily as well as a half hour session of yoga daily. In addition, athletes will have 1 hour of classroom time each day, rotating through 3 subjects: Mental Toughness, Nutrition and Coaches Topic. Meals will be as follows: Breakfast at the hotel, snack at 9:30, lunch at noon, afternoon snack if desired and dinner at 5:30. Water, chocolate milk, and sports drinks will be available at all times. Snacks will be nutritious, and lunches and dinners will be catered and well balanced. Our camp is intense, just what a highly motivated and passionate swimmer wants and needs. But fun is also a key part of this great adventure. We will be going bowling and having a movie night and as mentioned before, SlideWaters in Chelan. Our staff is caring, engaging, and wanting your athlete to have the most fun while helping them reach "their ultimate goals". Maximum Velocity Swim Camps will have a licensed sports trainer or nurse on site at all times, except at hotel in the evening hours. Security will be on site at the hotel in the evening along with our chaperones. All staff that have contact with campers will be USA Swimming background checked and have taken the Athlete Protection program. If your athlete registering for the camp is not a USA Swimming certified swimmer with a USA Swimming Registration Number, they will be registered as a temporary athlete with USA Swimming. Required Gear:
All swimmers will be required to bring their own fins, pull buoy and snorkel. Swag:
Each swimmer will receive 2 caps, 2 shirts, 1 water bottle, 1 bag tag and 1 towel. Each swimmer will have the opportunity to compete for 1 of 10 swim bags to be given out by Coach Hoffer at the end of the camp. Mental Toughness: This is not visual and it will happen. Capture the techniques that elite athletes use to make it happen everyday! Nutrition: This class will teach you specific dietary and hydration techniques to help your body get the most out of each workout! Coaches Topic: This class will work through the issues that many swimmers may face in contemplating a collegiate caterer. Event Costs:

$1000.00 -- Camper (All meals, sleeping accommodations and Swim Camp)
