This weekend we are stepping back into our rescue diver mode for the Western Nationals in Pateros Washington for the APBA REGION 10 hydroplane races. Many different categories of races. Lots of action and some excitement. Come enjoy all of the activities .

This weekend is Open Water class, next weekend is boat racing rescue diving in Pateros. It’s a full life..

Aging does not magically make sailors sensible.

It just means we take a little longer to do the same questionable things we used to do with full confidence and better knees. We still think we can fix it ourselves. We still underestimate how long the project will take. We still believe the weather window might be just fine if we squint at the forecast optimistically enough.

The good news is that getting older often comes with better timing, better stories, and a much greater appreciation for sitting down afterward. You may do the dumb stuff slower, but you also laugh harder, rest sooner, and know exactly where the good snacks are hidden aboard.

It might be a little rainy this weekend but come to Howard Amon park in Richland for a full schedule of hydroplane racing. Orca Scuba Center will be closed Friday and Saturday so we can volunteer as safety divers and be a part of the excitement. Come watch from the beer garden. See you there.
