Happy National Coaches Day to our Nation coaches! 🤎

Some have been with us for years, while others are just beginning their journey with Nation. We’re grateful for every coach who gives their time, energy and heart to our athletes. It definitely takes a special kind of person to take on a coaching role. It is not for the weak👏🏽

Coaching takes sacrifice—the long days, weekends away, tough decisions, and all the good, bad and ugly. But the impact goes far beyond softball.

To all of our coaches (some not pictured)—thank you for choosing Nation, believing in what we’ve built, and most of all, caring about these young women. Helping them chase their goals on the field and prepare for life beyond it is what Nation is all about.

You are a huge part of what makes Nation, Nation.

Ruby Florencio #3 — our very last Nation OG. 🥹

Nation held its very first tryout in the winter of 2019. Ruby showed up, made our 12U team, and that’s where her Nation journey began.

From 12U to 18U, 2019–2026, Ruby put in the work, trusted the process, and made the drive from Rock Springs, WY year after year.

Over the years, Ruby grew into a strong pitcher, corner infielder/ UT, hitter, and the best teammate. Ruby can play anywhere and everywhere. Through the different teams, coaches, and seasons, she continued to grow and played a major role in Nation throughout her seven years with us.

Now her time as a Nation athlete has officially come to an end, but before she heads off to college at Johnson and Wales University Softball (Charlotte Campus), she’ll stop in to help with our 2026 tryouts—the same place her Nation journey started seven years ago. Talk about full circle.

Her commitment, grit, and work ethic will carry her far beyond the softball field and into this next chapter of her life.

From our very first tryout to her final season, it’s been pretty special watching her entire journey.

Thanks Ruby Florencio Ruby Florencio for an amazing 7 years! 🫶🏽
