There’s still time to check us out! Join us for our open practices next week.

We did send home a memo on Thursday stating that team selection emails would be sent by Monday. With today’s tryout being canceled, that timeline has slightly changed.

We will START sending team selection emails on Monday, but teams will not be finalized until Friday. This gives athletes who planned on attending today an opportunity to come to one of our open practices next week.

Ruby Florencio #3 — our very last Nation OG. 🥹

Nation held its very first tryout in the winter of 2019. Ruby showed up, made our 12U team, and that’s where her Nation journey began.

From 12U to 18U, 2019–2026, Ruby put in the work, trusted the process, and made the drive from Rock Springs, WY year after year.

Over the years, Ruby grew into a strong pitcher, corner infielder/ UT, hitter, and the best teammate. Ruby can play anywhere and everywhere. Through the different teams, coaches, and seasons, she continued to grow and played a major role in Nation throughout her seven years with us.

Now her time as a Nation athlete has officially come to an end, but before she heads off to college at Johnson and Wales University Softball (Charlotte Campus), she’ll stop in to help with our 2026 tryouts—the same place her Nation journey started seven years ago. Talk about full circle.

Her commitment, grit, and work ethic will carry her far beyond the softball field and into this next chapter of her life.

From our very first tryout to her final season, it’s been pretty special watching her entire journey.
