We had a great time learning about desensitizing the horse and focusing on building trust together. Through calm, consistent exercises, we worked on helping the horse feel more confident and relaxed while strengthening communication between horse and handler. It was rewarding to see progress as patience and trust came together in a positive learning experience.

At Painted Pony Ranch, it’s been rewarding to watch several kids grow in their riding lessons and truly accomplish things on their own. Recently, two students worked through an obstacle course both on the ground and in the saddle, learning how to face and overcome spookiness together with their horses. Through patience, guidance, and hands-on practice, they made noticeable progress—building confidence, strengthening trust, and developing a better partnership with their horses every step of the way.
